However, none of the presented models supported the capture of the video. It was just a matter of time. Lytro realized its developments in a new product, focused on filmmakers and gamers.

However, Immerge is more than just a virtual reality camera. This is a whole system with software supported by various VR-headsets.
Lytro Immerge can be described as an array of cameras that capture all the space around the user. A system of multiple sensors allows the user to navigate in a three-dimensional world with six degrees of freedom.

It is reported that the purpose of the technology is to create professional content for virtual reality devices by mixing computer graphics and live images in the least possible way.

The Immerge camera does not just shoot the video for 360 degrees, it plays a recording scene, collecting information about the intensity and direction of the light, which not only determines the colors of surrounding objects, but also shows how far apart they are from each other.

Together with Immerge, Lytro announced a portable server designed specifically for this VR camera. The server can store and process records. In addition, a set of editing tools is available, compatible with the tools Nuke and Final Cut Pro. The content is played through Lytro Immerge Player, supported by virtually all existing virtual reality headsets.

It is expected that the cost of the system will be expressed in hundreds of thousands of dollars. The prototype release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.
