A year after the release of HD Hero2, GoPro released a new camera model for outdoor activities. Hero3 is represented by White, Silver and Black. All three are equipped with an integrated Wi-Fi-module and are compatible with the Wi-Fi Remote controller (included in the Black Edition).
The flagship of the lineup is the Hero3 Black model with a 12-megapixel image sensor and video recording support in 4K resolution: 3840 × 2160 (TV UHD) 15fps and 4096 × 2160 (cinematic standard) 12fps. With Hero3 cameras, you can shoot 2.7K (2716 × 1524) at 30 frames per second, 1080p at 60fps, 720p at 120fps, and WVGA at 240fps.
Black Edition is offered at a price of 399 US dollars and comes with a waterproof remote control Wi-Fi Remote, which allows you to simultaneously control 50 cameras. Separately, the accessory costs 99 dollars. As a remote control, you can also use the application for iOS-smartphone.
The White camera is equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor, which allows you to shoot Full HD video at up to 30 frames per second. The cost of this model is 200 dollars. In turn, Silver with the parameters of 11 MP and 1080p 30fps is offered at a price of $ 300.
