Sanyo Japan officially introduced a new compact video camera from the family Xacti - model DMX-CG110, reports Slash Gear. Like most models from this series, it is made in the form factor of the pistol and will be produced in two color revisions - black and red. According to official data, the camera can record HD video at 1080p at 60 frames per second and take photos with a maximum resolution of up to 14.4 megapixels.

It should be noted that the volume of internal memory of the DMX-CG110 is only 16 GB, but it can be expanded with SDHC or SDXC memory cards (up to 64 GB). Other design features include optics providing 5x optical zoom, face recognition and optical image stabilization, stereo speakers, flash and full compatibility with Eye-Fi memory cards, and a 2.7-inch LCD folding display. As for the supported interfaces, this baby has not only a USB 2.0 port, but also a composite and HDMI. If you believe Sanyo, the camera can take up to 190 photos or record up to 60 minutes of Full HD video without recharging.

The cost of this model is not a word, but it will definitely go on sale in Japan in late April. At least, that's what Sanyo promises.
