Nikon Shows New Coolpix

Nikon at PMA distinguished itself by the presentation of a pair of new Coolpix. The focus, of course, was the P100 - a logical continuation of the P90. As we have already written, this camera will be Nikon’s first backlit CMOS sensor. It shoots at ISO 3200 at a speed of up to 10 frames per second, and uses image stabilization implemented in five different directions. However, at the exhibition, in addition to the P100, there were a couple of cameras that deserve attention.

If the P100 operates with a 26x zoom, then the L110, like the L100, operates with a 15x zoom. However, again, unlike the first model, equipped with a 10.3-megapixel camera, this one uses a 12.1-megapixel one. Autofocus can catch up to a dozen faces in the frame, eliminating the red-eye effect. The definition of a smile and a blink is also included in the functionality. L22 looks rather weak against the general background, with the usual 3.6x zoom and a 12-megapixel camera for a soapbox.

Nikon plans to start the season with L-series sales. All three cameras will be released in February at a price of $ 280 for the L110 and $ 130 for the L22. P100 will be released in March for $ 400.
