Olympus fills the gap in the middle class

If you’re looking for an Olympus digital SLR, but haven’t saved fifteen hundred dollars on the E-3, and the E-520 seems weak to you, then it’s definitely good news that Olympus is going to fill a middle-class niche. It will be E-30 for one thousand three hundred dollars. Present the camera somewhere in January.

Like other devices of this line, the E-30 uses image stabilization and Live View. The camera took its 2.7-inch LCD display from the E-520, and the fast 11-point autofocus from the E-3. This 12.3-megapixel camera shoots at up to 5 frames per second and uses Art Filters visual effects. Already not user, but not yet professional, this camera should appeal to Olympus fans.
