Japanese company Sony introduced three new compact cameras of the Cyber-shot series (type "point-and-shoot", which means "take and take"). Among the novelties of the camera are WX50, WX70 and TX200V . The last two models have not only an external similarity, but also some technical characteristics, which will be discussed below.
The cameras have a 16.2-megapixel image sensor Exmor R CMOS 1 / 2.3 (7.77 mm), 5x optical zoom, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, Sony BIONZ processor, ISO 3200 sensitivity (software increase to ISO 12800) and the ability to record 1080i-video at 60fps. The only difference between these two cameras can be considered a display. If the WX50 has a 2.7-inch display (460,000 dots), the WX70 is equipped with a 3-inch display (921,000 dots).
Both cameras will go on sale in the middle of March this year at a price of 200 and 230 dollars, respectively.
But the Sony Cyber-shot TX200V is a bit different from its peers. The camera is made in an ultrathin case with a front panel of reinforced glass. TX200V withstands submersion in water to a depth of 5 meters, has protection from dust and freezing (stably operates at air temperature up to -10 degrees).
Other specifications include: an 18.2-megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor, 26 mm lenses with a five-fold optical zoom, a high-speed auto focus system (0.13 seconds in daylight and 0.25 seconds in low light). On the back of the camera there is a touch-sensitive 3.3-inch OLED display. The camera allows you to take 13-megapixel images and record video as 1080p at 60fps, simultaneously.
Model TX200V will appear on the shelves of retail stores in March with a price tag of $ 500.
